Wilson's Orchard & Farm is seeking a highly motivated individual to manage pizza dough production and deck oven operations as well as contribute to the development of our house baked bread program. Qualifications follow.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Pizza dough manager and pizza oven operator.
- Expertise in bulk ferments and managing dough schedules.
- Hands on preparation of high quality pizza dough.
- Operate and oversee the pizza deck oven.
- Ensure precise execution of recipes and maintain product quality.
- Collaborate with managers and staff to maximize workflow efficiency and quality
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply requirements.
- Passionate about pizza dough. Self motivated to continue to improve skills and techniques.
- Maintain company wide expected standards of food quality.
- Work as a fully integrated team member in a busy, creative kitchen.
- Arrive on time and ready to work, tidy and well kept.
- Maintain an organized work station.
- Contribute to the growth of the creative culture as able and asked.
- Take instruction and follow recipes as shared and instructed.
- Work with the team to maintain and support a working schedule.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Chef and Culinary Director.
Qualifications
- Must have at least 1-2 years of professional kitchen experience working with dough and a deck oven.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen staff, floor staff, and guests.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
