Provide friendly, timely, responsive, welcoming service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests. A server’s primary goal is to show our guests a unique and excellent experience to ensure their return.
Duties and Responsibilities
Service:
Be able to explain the cidery's concept and practices to customers.
Maintain a constant understanding of the most up to date food and beverage menus as well as any and all specials.
Welcome and greet guests promptly upon their arrival.
Inform guests of specials and pertinent menu changes.
Be able to make informed recommendations when needed.
Record all orders accurately and immediately in the POS after their receipt.
Run food and beverages regardless as to whether they belong to your personal table or not.
Monitor guests throughout the meal, check in frequently (but not too frequently), respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
Prepare guest checks, accept payment, process credit cards and charges and get change if applicable.
Thank guests for their visit and invite them to return.
Be ready and willing to assist fellow servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, etc. as situations arise.
Maintenance:
Thoroughly complete daily stocking
Keep clutter down in the server station and maintain a clean, attractive, and efficient work space.
Assist in restocking and replenishment of dry goods, coffee, etc.
Perform opening and closing duties thoroughly and efficiently before and after service.
Complete side work before/after service as time allows.
Coordinate with Other Servers to:
Complete weekly cleaning duties
Ensure teamwork is of the utmost priority.
Miscellaneous:
Report all equipment problems and bar maintenance issues to the restaurant manager.
Be prepared to fill in where needed to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant i.e., bussing tables, answering the phone, greeting guests at the door, etc.
