You-Pick Strawberries

🚨🍓 UPDATE: STRAWBERRY PICKING BEGINS WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10TH 🍓🚨

Due to the weather, and after further surveying our crop, we will be delaying the opening of our strawberry patch from Wednesday, June 3rd to Wednesday, June 10th. Peak picking is expected around June 13th to 14th for those who want to plan ahead.

Please note: The availability of our strawberries depends on two things we can't fully predict: the weather and the crowd. Ripening shifts with the forecast, and a high-traffic day can clear our crop quickly. We'll share updates on the status of the patch on our socials. Before you head out, here's a few things worth knowing...

❶ Parking is always free. On busy weekends, overflow parking is available near the entrance gate on the strip of grass between the Farm Market and our Ciderhouse.

❷ From there, head inside the Farm Market. This is where you'll pay Farm Admission and purchase your picking container (1 quart OR 1 flat aka 6 quarts). That's it. No weighing, and no checking back in post picking is needed.

❸ Then it's time for the fun part. Head south down the hill from the Admission Shack and cross the small footbridge over Rapid Creek. Right after the creek, head right and follow the path until the apple rows give way to patches. We'll have a team member out in the fields to guide you the rest of the way.

❹ Once you’re in the patch, start by checking the tips of the strawberries. The bottom tip is the last part to ripen, so it’s the easiest way to know if a berry is ready. Still white? Walk past to let it keep growing. Fully red? Grab the stem about an inch above the berry, give it a gentle twist, and it’s yours.

❺ Oh, and don't forget your photo op! The patch has better lighting than your living room and the berries don't judge your angles. 📸

While you're here, the Farmyard will be open for kids of all ages, and the Farm Market will be stocked with strawberry-themed treats. Think strawberry shortcake croissants, spiked or na strawberry lemonade slushies, soft-serve ice cream with strawberries, our new mixed berry hard cider, and more!
